Although she pursued life onscreen, Eva Perón found her place on the national stage, where, as her husband Argentine President Juan Perón's right hand, she championed labor rights and women’s suffrage and headed the Ministries of Labor and Health as well as a charitable foundation. Perón died of cancer at the age of 33, but her spirit lived on.
