John writes to the group in 2 John and emphasizes what very simple command that Jesus also emphasized, calling it a new command (though it didn't seem very new)?

Jesus spoke the same phrase in John 13:34-35. Obviously the phrase meant a lot to John because he was the only Gospel writer to quote the phrase and call it a "new command." It doesn't seem new, but the act of deeming it a "command" was a new concept.
