The man in this photo is Alexander Pichushkin, also known as The Chessboard Killer, a Russian serial killer believed to have killed at least 48 people. Following an accident in which Pichushkin was hit in the head by a swing, he began exhibiting troubling behavior. Those closest to the killer say this is when he began deriving pleasure from the pain of others.
