In which Los Angeles neighborhood are the sculptural Towers of Simon Rodia located?
Answer Watts
Also known as the Watts Towers, this set of 17 interconnected metal structures reaches nearly 100 feet at its highest point. The sculptural complex was built by Italian immigrant Sabato Rodia in his own backyard over a period of 33 years from 1921 until 1954. Constructed of steel rebar, concrete, and wire mesh, the spires are decorated with found objects, such as seashells, bottle caps, and broken glass.
