In The Hunger Games, what happens if you eat nightlock berries?

Nightlock berries look delicious, but are unfortunately lethal for anyone who consumes them. During the 74th Hunger Games, a tribute known as Foxface does just that, dying of his own ignorance. And, at the end of the games, Katniss and Peeta threaten to both eat the berries, committing suicide and leaving the Games with no victor, until they are stopped and are both declared to have won the games.
