In the heart of the "Silicon Forest", Beaverton is a suburb of this western U.S. metropolis
Answer Portland
A Northwest take-off on California's Silicon Valley, Silicon Forest refers to the concentration of tech companies in the Portland metro area and particularly the cities of Beaverton and Hillsborough in Washington County. These companies are mostly in hardware, such test-and-measurement equipment (Tektronix), computer chips (Intel and an array of smaller chip manufacturers), electronic displays (InFocus, Planar Systems and Pixelworks) and printers (Hewlett-Packard Co, Xerox and Epson). While Intel's HQ remains in California, their Hillsboro campus is now the company's largest hub.
