In Smallville the younger clone of General Zod gives himself what military rank?

Major Zod is the considerably younger clone of the supervillainous General Zod. As such, he names himself Major Zod, as that is the rank that Zod held during that time in his life. Major Zod is possibly an even more fearsome villain than General Zod, and it takes all of Clark's powers to defeat him and send him to the Phantom Zone.
