In Colossians 2, what surgery does Paul correlate to their relationship with Christ?

Circumcision was performed on male babies 8 days old. It was meant to mark a child as Jewish so he would remember his roots. It removed the flesh from a man's privates. In the same way, a relationship with Christ removes the "flesh" and replaces it with the Spirit.
