In addition to being home to Gulpha Gorge, which National Park is deeply tied to spring training for Major League Baseball players?
Answer Hot Springs National Park
Hot Springs National Park is unique in our National Park system. The city of Hot Springs was incorporated in 1851, and became known for a wide variety of activities, including illegal gambling, the opening of speakeasies and as a hangout for gangsters such as Al Capone. In the early 1900s, it became a spot for Major Leaguers to come to soak in the hot water and train for the regular season. It became a national park in early 1921.
