SN95 internal code refers to the Sporty (or Speciality) segment, North American market, and the project number 95 sequentially in Ford’s queue. The newly redesigned Mustang won accolades for getting rid of the Fox Body for more contemporary lines and featuring a 3.8L OHV V6 engine. A new Cobra also launched in 1994 with the rest of the SN95 Mustangs and featured a more powerful version of the 5.0L V8.
