In 1953, why did the FBI recieve a letter stating that Elvis Presley was a danger to the security of the United States?
Answer Because of his hip gyrations.
The FBI received a letter from the local diocese of the Catholic Church saying that "Presley is a definite danger to the security of the United States ... [His] actions and motions were such as to rouse the sexual passions of teenaged youth." There may have been some merit to it going by how many girls thighs and abdomens Elvis autographed following the show.
