Thimpu is the capital city of the country of Bhutan. It's the only world capital without any traffic lights, because Bhutan has tried very hard to resist any signs of modernity. Thimphu, and the entire country of Bhutan, is a haven for Buddhism, which was introduced there in the 8th century.
