If you know anything about American history, chances are good you remember that President Lincoln was assassinated by John Wilkes Booth at Ford’s Theatre in 1865. But do you recall Booth's occupation?

Answer Actor

A disgruntled Confederate sympathizer, Booth snuck into President and Mrs. Lincoln's private box at Washington's Ford's Theater, where they were enjoying an amusing performance of “Our American Cousin.” After driving a bullet directly into the back of the president's head, Booth — apparently unable to stifle his inner thespian — leaped down onto the stage, turned to the audience, and shouted “Sic semper tyrannis!” (“Thus ever to tyrants!”, the Virginia state motto) before escaping on horseback into the night.
