If someone calls you a "lapper" after a run, what have you done?
Answer You've fallen a full lap behind everyone else.
A lapper is a rider who winds up at least one full lap behind the leader or anyone else. It most commonly occurs when someone takes a tumble off the bike and re-enters the race after getting up. As soon as the leader passes the last place rider, that last place rider is called a lapper.
