"I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve." Who was this Japanese Marshal Admiral during WWII (aka, the architect of the Pearl Harbor attack)?
Answer Isoroku Yamamoto
As the Marshal Admiral of the Imperial Japanese Navy, Isoroku Yamamoto was responsible for developing Japan's naval aviation during the war. He was also the commander-in-chief who conceived of the Pearl Harbor attack and was later killed by the U.S. Army Air Forces in 1943 after codebreakers discovered his flight plans. His death was a major blow to Japanese morale during the war.
