How safe is a patient when riding in the back of an ambulance?
Answer Pretty darn safe
The truth can be a bit of any of those, but primarily, you are not terribly safe riding in an ambulance, EMTs have no restraints, nor does the patient - unless you count them being strapped in the gurney. They ambulance itself is not much more than a metallic shell.
