Sad, but true: The top ten richest people in the world are all men. The wealthiest woman, L'Oreal's Françoise Bettencourt Meyers, holds the #12 position on the 2021 Forbes billionaires list. The cosmetics heir is worth an estimated $92 billion — approximately $100 billion less than the richest man. But this year's list does offer a few glimmers of hope: 328 women made the list, up from 241 last year, and their collective wealth is currently $1.53 trillion — up almost 60% over 2020.
