Guillermo was raised as a Catholic by his mother Silvia. He became interested in vampires after seeing Interview with a Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles. He became Nandor's familiar with the hope of being turned into a vampire. Nandor, however, considered Guillermo as a slave. Later on, Guillermo finds out he can murder vampires and that his ancestor was the great Abraham Van Helsing.
