Give your lawn a drink. How often should you water it during summer weather?

Answer 2-3 times per week

If you live in a state that sees winter, then your lawn likely receives the 1-1.5 inches of weekly water it requires. But during summer months, 2-3 times per week is a good rate of watering. You don't want to overdo it daily or underdo it monthly (or god forbid, yearly) or your lawn will be dehydrated. If you're not sure whether your water is getting that inch of water it needs, try sticking a 6-inch screwdriver into your lawn. If it doesn't sink in, you need to up your watering frequency.
