Answer Potala Palace

Lhasa, Tibet's enormous fortress has served as the religious and political center for the Dalai Lama for centuries (although the current Dalai Lama was exiled to India). When you visit, you'll note there's a Red Palace and a White Palace. The Red includes the Enthronement Hall and several Dalai Lama tombs called "stupas," while the White is a school and dormitory of sorts. Both were built in the 17th century.
