An offshoot of the actual Russian Orthodox Church, the so-called True Russian Orthodox Church was established by Pyotr Kuznetsov. Leading his followers into a Russian cave to wait out the end of the world (which would arrive in 2008, according to Kuznetsov), the great leader peaced out and left the 30 members to hold down the fort. Two died, and the rest eventually decided not to get crushed by the collapsing roof.
