Falafel is claimed as the national dish of what country?

Though Israel claims falafel as its national dish, the decision isn't without its controversy. The deep-fried chickpea fritters were most likely invented in Egypt, spreading across the Middle East from there. Palestine, Lebanon, and many other Arab nations argue that falafel is more historically theirs than Israel's, but surely there's enough falafel for everyone.
