Facing death, this mathematician had one concern: "Do not disturb my circles!"

Answer Archimedes

It seems fitting that the great mathematician, Archimedes, should care so much about his subject that it is so eternally established in his final words. In 212 B.C. Archimedes was killed by a Roman soldier during the Second Punic War when the soldier broke into his home while he was working on a complex mathematical drawing. The soldier ordered the math genius to accompany him to Marcellus. Archimedes refused, having not solved the problem yet, resulting in his death.
