Earth wasn't the only place to see some action in the 2000s; space did too. Who were the first inhabitants of the International Space Station?
Answer Two Russians and one American astronaut
On November 2, 2000, the first crew to the International Space Station landed on their new home. The crew included one American and two Russians, NASA's Expedition One Commander William M. (Bill) Shepherd and Roscosmos cosmonauts Yuri Gidzenko and Sergei Krikalev. Living and researching in space, people have lived aboard the spacecraft ever since.
