Early American settlers used what material to make quilts?
Answer Anything they could find
Quilts were made out of necessity, and in the early days of America, women did not have the time or luxury to do fine needlecraft. They instead pieced together whatever fabrics they had around the house, old clothing, old blankets, etc. and made new quilts.
