Do you recognize this hip hop pioneer?

Adam Yauch (1964-2012) was better known as MCA from the pioneering hip hop trio the Beastie Boys. Yauch provided essential sonic and technical contributions, as well as a moral compass that guided the band's evolution from rascally (and occasionally chauvinist) goofballs in the 1980s to respected artists. But, like his bandmates, MCA never lost sight of the humor and fun at the heart of the Beasties Boys. As his alter ego, lederhosen-sporting Swiss yodeler Nathanial Hörnblowér, MCA directed many of the Beasties' hilarious music videos, including “So Whatcha Want”, “Intergalactic”, and “Body Movin'". MCA died in 2012 after a three-year battle with cancer of the salivary gland. He was surrounded by his daughter, wife and parents and was conscious until the end.
