Do you recognize this Canadian comedian?

Like so many comedy greats, funnyman John Candy (1950-1994) got his start with the sketch group Second City. As a member of Second City's Toronto-based variety show, SCTV, Candy's star began to rise and Hollywood soon came calling. He went on to perform alongside comedy giants like Bill Murray and Steve Martin in many iconic comedies of the 1980s: Stripes, Splash, Cool Runnings, Home Alone, Uncle Buck, Planes, Trains and Automobiles, and more. After struggling with his weight and related health issues for many years, Candy died of a heart attack in his sleep in 1994. He was 43.
