Denali National Park is huge, encompassing more than 6 million acres. An indigenous word meaning "mountain big," Denali is also known by what Americanized name?

Answer Mount McKinley

The Koyukon people are native to that part of Alaska, and have referred to the mountain in the national park as Denali for many years. In the late 1800s, a gold prospector named it Mount McKinley in support of the man who was soon to become president. It wasn't until 2015 that it was officially changed back to Denali.
