Conspiracy theorists believe that which Order is satanic and engages in mind control?

The secret society known as the Freemasons has long been cloaked in mystery and conspiracy with some hardliners saying the cult delves into the satanic. The drama of the cult's initiation and other rituals makes it appear quasi-religious to some. That, compounded by the fact that the Freemasons have appeared to be connected to many historical crimes seems to drive the cult conspiracy. Even John Quincy Adams wrote in 1833, "I do conscientiously and sincerely believe that the Order of Freemasonry, if not the greatest, is one of the greatest moral and political evils under which the Union is now laboring.”
