Known as Christ the Redeemer, the enormous statue mounted on Mount Corcovado in Rio de Janeiro stands 98 feet tall with an arm span that nearly matches at 92 feet. Completed in 1931, the mosaic Art Deco-style statue is made of thousands of soapstone tiles and is visited by around 1.8 million people a year.
