"Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" is the first big-screen adaptation of Roald Dahl's novel "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," but the author disowned it due to creative differences with the director. It was remade by Tim Burton in 2005 with the Dahl estate having complete artistic control.
