Acting legend Jack Nicholson grew up in Neptune City, New Jersey and later moved to nearby Spring Lake, where his mom operated a beauty parlor. At Manasquan High School, his friends called him Nick and his Class of '54 classmates voted him "Class Clown". His teachers weren't so amused by his clowning: Nicholson once had detention every day for an entire school year. Nowadays, Manasquan has a theatre and a drama award named for their world famous alum. In 2004, Nicholson returned to his alma mater for his 50th high school reunion, accompanied by his aunt Lorraine.
