Can you name this violet-eyed superstar of old Hollywood?

Answer Elizabeth Taylor

After winning Best Actress trophy for her role in 'Butterfield 8' (1960), Elizabeth Taylor leveraged her new clout by securing a jaw-dropping salary increase from her modest $150,000 ‘Butterfield’ salary for her next picture, 'Cleopatra' (1963). Her $1,000,000 paycheck was a record high for any actress up to that point. But that wasn't all Taylor got from the production: she also met her future fifth (and later sixth) husband, Richard Burton. She'd previously been married to Conrad Hilton, Michael Wilding, Mike Todd and Eddie Fisher, who was (awkwardly) married to Taylor's very close friend, Debbie Reynolds, when the Taylor/Fisher romance began. Reynolds had even been Matron of Honor at Taylor's wedding to Mike Todd. Fisher married Taylor 3½ hours after divorcing Reynolds. After her 1974 divorce from Burton, Taylor married Burton (a second time), John Warner and Larry Fortensky.
