Answer Qiu Jin
Writer, revolutionary, and feminist, Qiu Jin wore many hats. Called Jianhu Nüxia, which translates to "Woman Knight of Mirror Lake," Qiu was a revolutionary leader in an uprising against the Qing dynasty. At a meeting of the Revolutionary Alliance to overthrow the Qing and restore governance to the Han Chinese, Qiu is quoted as saying: "If I return to the motherland, surrender to the Manchu barbarians, and deceive the Han people, stab me with this dagger!" She was martyred and is now considered a national heroine.
