Great Ocean Road is great for three reasons: 1) The view, 2) It does double-duty as a war memorial, and 3) It served as paid work for veterans returning home to Australia after WWI. Traveling 150 miles from Torquay to Allansford, the scenic coastal route takes in rainforest and, of course, the ocean.
