Besides Abraham Lincoln, who is the only other signer of the Emancipation Proclamation?

Answer William Seward

Seward was secretary of state from 1861 to 1869 and one of Lincoln's closest advisors and friends. In addition to signing the Emancipation Proclamation, he accompanied Lincoln to Gettysburg for his legendary address. Another feather in Seward's cap is that it was he who first suggested to Lincoln that he declare a day of national thanksgiving, which formalized the day as a national holiday.
