Believe it or not, the original concept for Happy Days was not set in the 1950s, but in what decade?
Answer 1920s
Network executives wanted the series to be set during the so-called Roaring '20s, but when Garry Marshall heard this, he argued for the era of his childhood, the 1950s, as he had no idea how to do a show about about teenagers without drugs or alcohol. Marshall, of course, convinced them to change the decade.
