Vernor opened a drugstore in Detroit, Michigan and sold his ginger soda at its soda fountain. It continued to be a local Michigan favorite for many years after that. In 2016, Vernors celebrated its 150th anniversary with a memorabilia exhibition showing artifacts and vintage signage from the brand.
