"Bah humbug!" Join Scrooge and the gang in A Christmas Carol, written by what author?

Answer Charles Dickens

Written in 1849, Charles Dickens couldn't have known A Christmas Carol would become an instant Christmas classic. The best seller went on to become big stage and screen successes, as our friend, Ebenezer Scrooge, transforms from greedy old miser to generous rich man after a three-ghost visit. Surprisingly, Dickens was prompted to write the tale of humanity after reading a recent child labor report (and because of his own child labor experience), which inspired the author to invite readers to see workers as more than machines.
