Awesome, you have leftovers and won't have to cook tomorrow...but how long can you keep leftovers in the fridge?
Answer 3-7 days
All opened or prepared perishable foods should be tossed after a week, according to the FDA Food Code, no exceptions. Some foods go bad even sooner than that, so take precautions. Chances of food poisoning increase as time goes on, so it's a good rule of thumb to freeze food if you don't plan to eat it within three or four days.
