At the NFL combine, what distance is used to measure a player’s sprint speed?
Answer 40 yards
If you think about it, it’s a really weird distance to use. Most plays don’t go more than 10 yards, so that info would be useful. 100 yards is the whole field. But the NFL uses the 40. Wideout John Ross is the record holder at 4.22 seconds.
