As far as radical concepts go, the Maserati Birdcage is among the top. It paid homage to the racing icon, the 1960's Maserati, as the company celebrated its 75th anniversary. Do you know in what year it was introduced?
Answer 2006
The Maserati Birdcage, also known as the Maserati Tipo 61, was introduced in 2006. The concept car used an intricate tubular space frame chassis, containing around 200 chromoly steel tubes welded together, hence the name "Birdcage".
