As an anthropomorphic pitcher of beverage, the Kool-Aid Man is one-of-a-kind. But before he was called Kool-Aid Man, he was known by what moniker?

Answer Pitcher Man

So-called "Pitcher Man" was created in July, 1954 by Marvin Potts, who worked for an ad agency in New York City, and was hired by General Foods to create an image to go along with the company's slogan "A 5-cent package makes two quarts". Out of all the designs that Potts created, Pitcher Man stuck and was soon incorporated into all of GF's ads for the beverage.
