Arguably the most elegant and memorable badge with an equally elegant and memorable name, the Quadrifoglio Verde — or "green four-leaf clover" — is used by an iconic Italian car manufacturer to indicate their high-performance offerings. What manufacturer are we talking about?

Answer Alfa Romeo

The story of the Quadrifoglio Verde badge dates back to the 1923 installment of the prestigious Targa Florio race in Sicily. During the race, one of Alfa's drivers, Ugo Sivocci, didn't seem to have enough luck to finish in the first place. That is until he painted a four-leaf clover on the fender of his car. Needless to say, Sivocci won the race, and the Quadrifoglio Verde forever became associated with Alfa.
