Another traditional Hungarian dog breed, it has traditionally served as a livestock guard dog. What is it?
Answer Kuvasz
Traditionally used as a livestock guard dog, the Kuvasz is a large, strong animal. Sadly, almost all of them were exterminated during WWII, putting the breed on the brink of extinction — at some point, there were as few as 12 dogs surviving in all of Hungary. Since then, the breed has largely been restored thanks to committed breeders.
