Vivian Maier worked as a nanny in a northern suburb of Chicago. She started combing the streets of Chicago using a Rolleiflex twin-lens reflex camera and began capturing the city over the course of 30 years, but never showed her photos to anyone. Many of them weren't even developed, and most weren't discovered until 2007.
