After being attacked by pirates in The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, Steve realizes the pirates accidentally left their three legged dog behind. This plucky Labrador mix can't seem to catch a break because Steve accidentally leaves him behind in a daring mission of his own.

While hardly a major part of this film, Cody the three legged dog was loved by fans because of everything he went through and survived. Realizing he left Cody behind, Steve tells his crew they have to go back, but ultimately he utters the memorable line, "Good-bye Cody".
