Acne is a weird and embarrassing phenomenon. According to a theory in the journal Medical Hypothesis, what is the evolutionary reason it mainly affect adolescents?

If this theory is true, it all makes sense! That acne is there to prevent teenagers from being too attracted to each other, thus preventing them from procreating before they're mature enough to properly care for their baby. It's an odd theory for an odd phenomenon.
