A significant portion of the population in Mongolia live a nomadic lifestyle. What is the name of Mongolia's capital city that itself was a nomadic location until permanent structures were built there in 1639?
Answer Ulaanbaatar
Ulaanbaatar is the capital of Mongolia. The site of Ulaanbaatar was originally a nomadic destination for Mongolian princes, but the building of the Da Khure Monastery established the first permanent building on the spot in 1639. In 1911, the city's name became Niislel Khuree (meaning "Capital of Mongolia") and in 1924 the name was changed to Ulaanbaatar.
