This classic cocktail consists of brandy, Cointreau & lemon juice

The Ritz Paris claims to have originated the sidecar, but its provenance is not established. The popular cocktail, named after the motorcycle passenger attachment, was invented sometime near the end of World War I in either London or Paris.
